"Still WatersAcrylic on Canvas by Rob Gonsalves,, Magical Surrealism

*Note this rendition has been flipped upside down, to see the original click here

Literal description: A mesmerizing work of magical realism of a scene of people working to lay tiles that reflect with great precision its obverse.   Beholders must look with a keen eye to understand what is taking place in “Still Waters”.  Useing water Gonsalves  parallel image are shown: a Château & her surroundings reflect upon a smooth blemish free plane.  Further sights are where a boat making not a single ripple quietly rests on the tiled surface; likewise a pair of swans behave much just the same.  Then, in the foreground, a small group works together to create an surreal masterwork of perception in their environs. With every mirror panel that is laid a new reflection is cast, showing each person that their experienced reality is a reflection of themselves & what they have made. A magical piece of acrylic strokes on canvas is a captivating reminder where every step we takes to the present & gives frame to our self idea of reality & how we construct it for ourselves.

」subjective thoughts on Still Waters

A piece that continually allures the eye where the canvas & visual cortex move to one another in waltz leaving the viewer gazes blissfully. Surrealistic art has always had a charm on me that I've remember as far back when I was a kid.  It's pure imagination & creation of another world often so stunningly done distilled by one mind for others to experience.  Art & great art oft is an amazing experience to feel; it tickles your mind in the right ways; opens the door for beautiful emotions; utliamtely expanding your mind even if a little bit in a new path. & for me this piece despite its relative tameness compared to other Gonsalves works visually & thematically, inspires such sentiments whenever I look upon it.   』

I have a good number of mildly lengthy political pieces coming out shortly in due quick succession.   Hence to cleanse your mental palate before I publish them all I thought this art post could serve well in that regard.   』

I'd like to apologize to my political followers.  I thought I would have my Flint Debate post ready Sunday evening even!  Though, I've been so busy in the last (it feels ^exponential that amount of work that's pilled on me) few days I haven't had time finish it.   As a concession my Maine Post-mortem post is due to be published within the next hour.  Check back to Buddha in da haus to read it.

High Turnout @ Maine Caucus Indicative of Strong Sanders Grassroots Efforts & What's Next To Come

」Ear pleasure for your reading: Pivotal times call for Hi-NRG Maine Hype or for something less thumping is some chillwave Buddha in da haus tempo

"Prager Straße" (Prague Street) Oil on canvas & collage by Otto Dix1920, Dada
Literal description: Scene of two mutilated characters one of rich & one of poor.  Both fastened with prosthetics but of varying quality; the well to do man struts gingerly past the beggar; who is n the midst of receiving money.
A store window for a prosthetists shop is in background.  Further figures around the periphery of the center: notably a wooden hand with a cane & the bosom of a pump wearing lady.

『  Fortis cadere, cedere non potest.

A brave man may fall, but he cannot yield.

- Latin proverb

Context:  It's a nippy ° / 35 ° f  From social media all over the internet it's easy to see the large turnout for the Maine Caucus which is simply beautiful.  & the cold weather did not stop Downeasters from heading to their caucuses - which if you have not gone & are eligible to vote than please make your way now, geez louise.    』

It's awe inspiring to see such a massive turnout for democracy.  Ironically for a arguably unndemocratic system.

The people will not be deterred.

 Absolutely staggering long lines.

A familiar sight all around the state today.

Scenes that all Sanders want to see repeated in the forthcoming contests.

Its clear who is leading the charge in Maine.

  It's Bernie Sanders.

『   Now it comes with a bit of hubris but well placed confidence that Sanders has wrapped up Maine.  The question is by how far of margin and thus how much ground can Sanders make up?  I last prediction placed Sanders at 19 to Clinton's 11 - 3 of which are assured by the superdelegate pledges by Maggie Allen, Chellie Pingree & Peggie Schaffer.  It's State Senator Troy Jackson, of Allagash who is the sole superdelegate supporting Sanders explicitly prior to the proceedings of today's caucus.  That leaves State Democratic Party Chairman Phil Bartlet as the remaining superdelegate who has not public endorse either candidate.  Bartlet looks to wait for the results of the caucus before declaring his support & his leaning to go with what the caucus decides.  With how Sanders support has demonstrated today it's sure chance that Bartlet will call his vote for the Vermonter.  As Maine's caucus delegation votes are tired proportionally to the vote.  Here's a list of the potential delegate gain Sanders can achieve with the superdelegates above split 3: 2, advantage to Clinton.

『   With comparatively low number of delegates at play if Sanders woutright won Maine (unlikely) grabbing 23 delegates it's still a drop in the ocean compared to loses from Tuesday.  Which would be just a 4 delegate gain in a double digit delegate deficit.   However the potential momentum boon is what the biggest gain the Sander's camp can look to leverage coming into Monday.  With 3 of 4 primary wins & an absolute trumping of Clinton in Maine this can be a powerful catalyst to surge Sanders even further ahead of forecasts in the coming Midwest states.  Where Sanders can rely on demographics who've been more supportive of his platform in states with lower nonwhite populations & more shares of young, liberal & working-class Democrats.  This surge can assure Sanders to solidly win the Midwest as Clinton has done in the traditionally Southern Republican states.  Sanders has strong support in both California & New York but he's going to need a solid performance is the road leading to April 19th (New York) & June 7th (California + 5 others).

『   It's never too late to pick something up that you once left to the side.  Simply short, Buddha in da haus is back.  & yes that means quality original content for your entertainlightainment everyday of the week twenty four seven is here. What sort of quality original content?  To answer it succinctly, the blog's editorial focus on its return is to be on the matters of the world that satisfy that editor's (me) itch for dope things.  A broad curation of all media & peculiar things that this planet & the vacuum of space around it spew out a daily basis.  From the finest works of humanity that showcase the brilliant creativity of man that he cultivates to create the simply amazing & to the awful (but you cna't help but stare) garbage & vomitus that you can find on places like Reddit's front page.  This is a catalog of all things striking, please enjoy.   』

An aside if you may

『   A topic that berns my mind as of late though has been the American party nomination races.  Today is important & of course because of the Maine Caucus  At the day this post is published American Senator Bernie Sanders is contesting is the Maine Caucus against Hillary Clinton in the Democratic Presidential nomination race.  If you're of voting age & are a resident of Maine please participate in your civic duty.  #FeelTheBern.  If you need to know where to head to caucus please use this link Generally I want to not make this soapbox a politically branded one, but I feel that this election cycle is extremely noteworthy relative past ones in the last twenty to thirty years.  Even more so than Obama's initial 2008 election run.  There is real political empowerment of generally perceived  disenfranchised groups in both the Democrats & GOP.  I Look forward to Sanders contest today wish him success in his endeavour.   An aside with an aside: Trump is doing something quite special in up-heaving the  Republican establishment and potentially fracturing a party that has shown signs of decline since the Bush era and serious fragmentation in recent years, Tea Partiers et al.  A brazen populist & demagogue in the 21st century is absurd in itself but the man also talked about his dick on the silver screen.  I don't even; hah.  I digress though this post is needlessly more political than it should be.

『    Sanders will gain a larger share of the delegate count than expected in forecasts immediately preceding the Caucus.  A small boon for Sanders in regaining pace lost the Southern States. Where he needs to win each state form now on with more oomph where he does have a lean on to make up for lost delegates in Louisiana & Super Tuesday (Massachusetts  in particular)

What happened to this blog?  Seven posts then nothing?  Actually I wouldn't even call it seven posts when half of them are shit.  The quote above is a reflective of what happened to this blog, I wanted to do something great with this blog, make great things happen, create amazing content.  However nothing truly transpired.  The way I see it was there was a clear mind but no will.  No will, no content.  However, I've found a renewed sense of motivation and a intense wanting to get this going again. So,

.....
How about a product review?  A summer day up at campus and my friend and I were feeling thirsty.  Into the campus grocery store and after a few minutes of mulling over the selection of drinks feeling like this.

I eventually chose Boylan's Creamy Red Birch Beer.  Now this is the first I've drank a "Birch Beer" so I did not know that I was to experience the taste of one the GREATEST sodas ever brewed.  No joke, this shit is good.

The bottle is made of a thick glass which gives the drinker a sense of quality with the soda: the glass bottle feels damn sturdy and the glass relief around the bottle attributes a feel of yesteryear.  A feel rightfully so because Boylan Bottling Company has been in operation for well over 100 years.  On it there is a large creamy red design with the details of the drink and... well fuck you can see it can't you?  I won't go on describing the the look of the bottle.  Time to consume.
As said above earlier this is one of the  best  sodas ever.  The first sip gives you an experience of a sublime euphoria where a  creamy vanilla  and I believe what is the flavour of birch are swinging with each other.  As in where each atom of birch flavour and  creamy vanilla  flavour were to be a monogamous flavour couple in your mouth and your tongue is the host a swingers party.  So, you have like what, millions-billions-trillions of swining  creamy vanilla  and birch flavour couples fucking with one another in your mouth all giving your tongue a nice old fashioned.

At ??.?? it's a pretty good deal because at whatever price you do pay for one these Boylan's Creamy Red Birch Beer it's worth it.』

procrastination poutine satisfaction

」i want horchata but there's only Vampire Weekend

『 This post should be about Sc2, but it's not. So, instead of that, today's post will feature the poutine that was consumed instead of creating the new post.

So today the crew and I went outside for a session on a cold winter-like but it's fucking spring day that had a sun blasting it's lazy ass rays for the first time in a while. We love poutines. We love poutines like the way a Canadian loves cream cheese in a sushi roll. [sounds weird? trust me it's nnnhhyyyoooooo maaa ggaaaawwwwddddd flavourious] After the customaries it was decided that a jerny to DQ would best satisfy our munchies. We weren't sure at all at what to get at DQ we just knew we had to get there and just consume. Upon arrival my eyes were fixated by the shining bright lights of the menu and the word POUTINE 3.79. And then ...

?????

Pretty standard fast food joint poutine: Which is cheap fries + mass gravy + oh so good but fake processed cheese. It's not a fuck up of a fast food poutine like the New York Fries fare but closer in taste to the KFC poutine and greater than the A&W poutine. The generous amount of DQ gravy finds itself slathered all over the properly fried papas fritas resulting in a mmmmm satisfying mouth-flavour-dance. The cheese is okay as it has a rubbery texture but good taste that acquaints itself warmly with the gravy bathed fries. Overall, it'll satisfy a poutine craving but it's no means to end for one, leaving you jonesing for more. At 3.79 CAD it's not worth the amount you get and if you really want cheap and decent poutine you're better of making it yourself or moving to Quebec. 』
